Today we met different
activists that had a major impact on the Civil Rights movement. I remember one
thing that all of them tried to stress to us. Be grateful for what we have now
because it took so long to get here. Stop being so lax. Stop waiting for
somebody to do something because we are the SOMEBODY, we just have to find that
certain something. The future is on dependent on us, and we can't forget that.
I honestly can't wait to get back home to make an impact in my community,
school or even on my 5-year-old nephew who just started learning about MLK in
school.
