For me, the most moving part of yesterday was our visit to the Equal Justice Initiative. While hearing Mr. Hinton's story was devastating, I left the office feeling hopeful. For a long time I've known I wanted to be a lawyer and work on issues of civil rights. This visit showed me that this type of work is not only valuable and needed, but also incredibly important and necessary. I hope to one day return to Montgomery and work with EJI on cases like Mr. Hinton's.
