Visiting Medgar Evans former
home, and also the place that he was assassinated was completely overwhelming.
Hearing in depth about how his murderer might have planned his death was
so shocking because I was literally standing in the place Medgars body
collapsed. It's one thing to read about and watch these historical events on TV
or in a book, but it is another thing to actually visit where these things
took action. I learned more about Medgar Evers today, than I will in any
history book at my high school and for that I am very
grateful.
